Planned for 1100 Wharton Street, the new facility for the Philadelphia Fire Department’s Engine 10 and Ladder 11 is part of a full city block transformation that includes multi-family housing, new retail, and office spaces. As the city’s first new fire station in two decades, the design reimagines what a civic building can be—functional, forward-thinking, and deeply rooted in its neighborhood context. Developed in close collaboration with city officials, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and the development team, the project delivers a 21st-century facility that enhances both operational efficiency and community connection.
